Mobile phones – a blessing or a curse?

As it happens in real life, many students cannot stop using their mobile phones in class, and parents and teachers are worried about this situation. However, there are people who think that smartphones are essential for modern education, but are they?

On the one hand, teachers, parents, and a few teenagers argue that mobile phones are the perfect distraction for those students who do not want to work or study or are too tired to do it. Furthermore, they spend time on social networks, which increases nomophobia; the phobia of being without your smartphone.

On the other hand, from the point of view of students, mobile phones can really help them to do work researches. In addition, they think it would be a great idea to incorporate them to the educational system as a compulsory tool to work in classes.

To sum up, I believe that although smartphones can actually help students and improve the quality of education, they do not know how to use them, or at least, they do not want to.
